What makes our Santa letters different
Most Santa letters are printed: a template with a name dropped in, run off a printer in the same ink as a shipping label. Ours are written. A real pen moves across real paper, guided by a handwriting machine, in the handwriting style you pick. The envelope is addressed by the same pen, and it goes in the mail with a real US stamp, with “Santa Claus, North Pole” as the return address.
Children notice. The ink sits in the paper and the lines aren’t perfectly even, the way handwriting never is. It looks like someone sat down and wrote to them, word by word.
And the words are theirs. You tell Santa about your child, and he writes back about the bike they learned to ride, the friend they stood up for or the reading they kept practising. Nothing on the envelope or the back of the letter names a company or a website; the back carries only a small code that plays Santa’s message if you add one.
A sample letter from Santa
What you get
- A full handwritten letter on festive North Pole letterhead (or a cheaper Santa card)
- “Santa Claus, North Pole” on the envelope, with a real stamp
- An optional P.S. from one of the elves
- Optional: your own recorded message, Santa’s voice message (about 30–45 seconds) or a short video from Santa (about 8 seconds), played from a code on the letter
- Orderable every day of the year, not just at Christmas
Only the grown-up fills in the form. We never ask your child anything. For each child you tell Santa:
- Their first name, age and town
- One to 3 good things they did this year
- Something they’re working on, if you like (Santa only ever mentions it as gentle encouragement)
- Their wishes, or a line from their own letter to Santa
- Pets and brothers or sisters, so Santa can say hello
- A note to Santa for context, which he reads but never quotes
- Whether Santa may name a gift (only if you tick it and tell him which one)
Then Santa writes back, at their reading level: very short and simple for the youngest, a little funnier for confident readers, warm and never babyish for older kids. You read every letter before you pay, change any word, or ask Santa for a new version. Need ideas? See what Santa can mention at every age.
Add up to 6 children to the same order and check out once. Every child gets their own letter with their own name, good deeds and wishes, so no one compares and finds the same words. Santa can mention the others too (“Say hello to your big brother Sam”), and the letters go to the same address.
Each child can be kept in your free address book, and we’ll remind you next October when Santa’s mailbag opens again. Untick it and their details are deleted 60 days after the letter is mailed.
Add a voice message from Santa (about 30–45 seconds) or a short video of Santa in his workshop (about 8 seconds), saying hello to your child by name. It plays when someone scans the small code on the letter. We email it to you to watch first: tap “Looks great”, or ask for a new one once, free. If we don’t hear from you, it switches on by itself 24 hours before the letter is mailed.
- Santa’s voice message · about 30–45 seconds · $1.45Santa reads a short message to them by name, with sleigh bells.
- Santa’s video message · about 8 seconds · $2.95Santa in his workshop says hello to them by name. Made right after you order; we email it to you to watch first.
- “Mrs. Claus tells me you have been feeding the birds every morning before school. The robins noticed, and so did I.”
- “I hear spelling has been tricky this year. Keep at it: Dasher could not fly the first time either.”
- “P.S. from Pip the elf: I’m the one who checks the list twice. You were on it both times!”
